MUSIC PUBLISHING

Mocha Man Music is a Houston-based music company providing publishing administration, songwriter development, catalog management, and sync representation.

We work with songwriters, producers, composers, and independent artists to organize their rights, collect available royalties, strengthen their catalogs, and create new opportunities for their music.

Publishing Services

Publishing Administration

We manage the business behind the songs, including:

  • Song registration
  • Publishing and songwriter metadata
  • Split documentation
  • Royalty tracking
  • Catalog organization
  • Rights and ownership records
  • Mechanical and performance royalty administration

Writers retain ownership under an administration agreement while Mocha Man Music handles the work required to manage and collect publishing income.

Songwriter Development

Strong songs require craft, discipline, and collaboration. We work with writers to improve their material and prepare it for commercial opportunities.

Development may include:

  • Song evaluations
  • Co-writing opportunities
  • Writing sessions
  • Creative feedback
  • Demo development
  • Catalog planning
  • Writing for artists and media briefs

Sync Licensing

We represent selected songs for use in:

  • Film and television
  • Advertising
  • Documentaries
  • Digital content
  • Podcasts
  • Video games
  • Theater
  • Branded campaigns

Priority is given to music with clear ownership, complete metadata, signed split sheets, and available clean, instrumental, a cappella, and alternate versions.

Song Placement

Mocha Man Music develops songs that can be recorded by artists inside and outside our network. We connect writers, producers, and vocalists based on the needs of each song and project.

Custom Music

Our writers and producers create original music for filmmakers, brands, businesses, events, podcasts, and other media projects. Custom work can include complete songs, instrumentals, themes, cues, and alternate versions.

Who We Work With

We are interested in working with:

  • Songwriters
  • Producers
  • Composers
  • Topline writers
  • Independent artists who write original music
  • Catalog owners seeking administration
  • Filmmakers and brands seeking original music

Our primary creative areas include R&B, soul, hip-hop, gospel, pop, rock, and culturally grounded music for visual media.

We look for strong writing, professional communication, consistent output, clear ownership, and a willingness to collaborate.

Our Approach

Mocha Man Music believes publishing relationships should be clear, fair, and based on the services being provided.

We do not require every writer to surrender ownership. Depending on the project, we may offer:

  • Publishing administration
  • Sync representation
  • Single-song agreements
  • Co-publishing
  • Custom composition agreements

Terms, ownership, commissions, territory, and responsibilities are defined in writing before we begin representing a song.

Before We Represent a Song

Every song must have:

  • Confirmed writers and ownership splits
  • Signed split sheets
  • Producer and beat agreements
  • Sample and interpolation clearances
  • Accurate songwriter and publisher information
  • Disclosure of existing publishing agreements
  • Disclosure of generative AI, synthetic vocals, loops, or third-party material
  • Appropriate audio files and metadata

Music with unresolved ownership disputes or uncleared samples will not be accepted for licensing.

For Music Buyers

Mocha Man Music offers a growing catalog of original music from Houston artists, songwriters, producers, and composers.

Our goal is to provide music buyers with:

  • Clearly documented ownership
  • Fast responses
  • Accurate metadata
  • Instrumental and clean versions
  • Flexible licensing options
  • Direct access to custom music
  • One-stop clearance when available

Tell us about your production, campaign, scene, budget, deadline, and music needs. We will identify appropriate songs or discuss creating something original.

Submit Your Music

Songwriters, producers, composers, and catalog owners may submit music for consideration.

Please include:

  • A private streaming link
  • A short professional biography
  • Your performing rights organization
  • Your role in the music
  • Current ownership information
  • Publishing or administration status
  • Your reason for contacting Mocha Man Music

Submitting music does not create a publishing relationship or guarantee representation. An agreement must be signed before Mocha Man Music administers, licenses, or claims an interest in any composition.
